My wife and I went to see the new Spiderman movie last night. We both enjoyed it for the most part but an extensive movie review is not the purpose of this post. When we came out of the theater we discovered this pretty big praying mantis sitting on the roof of the DudeStang:

Look at this thing!

After staring in wonder for a few minutes, I started driving away thinking the mantis would find its way off the car and when we hit 25 mph, that indeed seemed to be the case. Then another mile and a half or so down the road, I looked in my rear view mirror only to see the mantis sitting on the spoiler. The mantis managed to stick to the DudeStang for a good 2.8 miles all the way to our apartment, even with us hitting 35-40 mph at least once. Impressive strength, my little green dude.
