I recently had the opportunity to test drive one of the newer Mustangs currently available – a 2021 Mustang GT Premium California Special. This was my first time driving the newest version of the newest iteration of the only car that Ford still makes in the United States. I had driven an S550 (the current generation of Mustang) when they first came out for the 2015 model year but I had not driven one of the new GTs since they made a number of changes in 2018. A big part of the reason I haven’t driven the newer cars is because I wanted to avoid creating additional temptation to buy something new, as long as possible. It was difficult to pass on this opportunity though.

While waiting on my 2014 Mustang GT to be serviced at the dealer, I had the opportunity to drive this beautiful machine:

I have a lot of thoughts on the new Mustang but overall I can definitely say I was very impressed. I recorded some of my impressions in my latest vlog. Spoiler alert: I didn’t buy one but I would be lying if I said it wasn’t extremely tempting. Anyways, you can learn more in the new video linked below.
