A sudden brilliant, creative, or timely chalupa

Two weeks ago I paid a visit to the holy grail of fast food chains, the one, the only…Taco Bell. I’ve been meaning to write about that experience but I keep putting it off so for now I’m going to write about not writing about that experience. During this particular trip, I indulged in my first ‘Naked Chicken Chalupa‘. I enjoyed it so much that I had to let some of my friends know. One of my friends, we’ll call him Brandon, asked me to write a review. I haven’t written that review yet but I plan to, some day. For those who aren’t familiar with the Naked Chicken Chalupa, it’s basically a taco with a shell made out of fried chicken. It is peak America. It’s also peak fucking delicious.

Anyways, I’ve made the decision that I need to put more of the time I spend on my computer into something creative, even if my writing could be called anything but. As much fun as it is to spend multitudinous hours perusing political articles and following minute-by-minute current events, recent time spent listening to podcasts made me realize I need to spend more time on the things I really enjoy. This isn’t to say that I don’t enjoy politics. I enjoy following, reading, and talking all things politics but not in the same way I enjoy things like traveling, cars, food, sports, movies, or music. Anyone who’s ever made the mistake of getting me started on cars or sandwiches, probably understands.

I made another trip to Taco Bell today but this time I got a “Quesarito” (that’s a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla), which is also pretty fucking delicious. When I was sitting at my table, devouring my food, I thought about starting a blog devoted entirely to items on the Taco Bell menu. Though Taco Bell now allegedly has become one of the fast food chains with the most healthy options, I’m almost positive the Quesarito and Naked Chicken Chalupa don’t count. Upon completion of my Taco Bell sustenance, I had to take my dog for a walk and then all of my creative Taco Bell blog ideas mysteriously disappeared.

I’ll figure something out. Back to that chalupa review that I haven’t started yet…
